Explore Ancient Rome with the BPLD Travel Club

Join the Buena Park Library’s Travel Club as we take a virtual trip to Rome, Italy.  We will tour palaces, arenas, and temples built by the Roman Emperors – ancient sites that have survived the millennia and are now preserved in the midst of a bustling modern city.

This hour long travel adventure will include photographic slides, travel tips and places of interest for armchair adventurers and those interested in planning a trip to this fascinating city.

Books and DVDs related to our travel adventure will be available for checkout.  Light refreshments will be served prior to the program which will be held in the Library’s Board Room, located on the second floor.

Do you dream of traveling the world?  Join the Buena Park Library’s Travel Club and guest presenter Susan Schlaeger as we explore beautiful and fascinating travel destinations in China.  Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Hangzhou, and the Great Wall will be a few of the stops on this trip.

Destination England with the BPLD Travel Club

the Buena Park Library’s Travel Club will explore a few of the countless travel destinations in England.  Through slides and travel tips, armchair adventurers will discover locales in London and noteworthy sites in Oxford and Bath.

Both cities are a short train ride from London and are prominent in art, history and literature.  A selection of material in several formats will be available for checkout, including travel guides, histories and fiction.

Light refreshments will be served prior to the program which will be held in the Library Board Room, located on the second floor.  Please join us as we traverse England, Shakespeare’s “sceptred isle”.
